VLADIMIR VALOVIC (visual effects artist; Slovakia)

Vladimir Valovic is a talented senior compositor, vfx supervisor and vfx mentor with over 20 years of experience in the field, inclusive of 12+ years working on feature length films and TV series. Proud member of the Visual Effects Society, not only does he love exercising his craft but also fostering passion and camaraderie in those seeking to learn.

In 2016, Vladimir acted on his desire to share his knowledge with the next generation and thus founded the VFX online school, Compozitive where he is both a CEO and mentor.

A unique attribute, the school not only teaches the foundations imperative to be successful in the industry but goes above and beyond by incorporating tips and tricks, deep compositing and 3D techniques not taught in other schools. The school also functions as a welcoming community of likeminded individuals who help one another and share ideas. Since opening, the school has become one of the largest online VFX schools with a focus on compositing in the world. To date, it has had over 80 students graduate, all of which were able to successfully gain employment in VFX and compositing.

In addition to founding Compozitive, Vladimir actively mentors young VFX enthusiasts around the world. He has toured and presented at high schools and universities and provided online and in person support with the goal to provide guidance and encouragement to students in this growing field.

Vladimir has had the pleasure be part of the big major feature films working with some of the best vfx supervisors and pioneers of the this industry in London and Vancouver in the best visual effects houses in the world such as Framestore, MPC, Dneg, Method Studios, Industrial Light and Magic as a compositor,lead compositor and mentor. His many exciting projects include feature films, commercials, and music videos. He was the senior digital compositor for critically acclaimed films including Marvel’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 1 & 2, STAR TREK, POKÉMON DETECTIVE PIKACHU, JUSTICE LEAGUE, TERMINATOR DARK FATE, STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER and much more. He was also part of the team who won a VFX Oscar and BAFTA award in 2014 for GRAVITY, and 2012 the Bafta award for HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 2.
