One of Poland’s biggest and most respected acting stars, known for his powerful character roles and distinctive screen presence.

A graduate of the Ludwik Solski State Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków, Andrzej Konopka has built a long-standing career spanning theatre, cinema and television. He began with stage work in leading Polish theatres before becoming a household name and a constant presence in major Polish film and TV productions. In recent years, Konopka he has become a defining face of high-quality Polish series. His performances in Heweliusz and LARP have attracted strong critical and audience attention, placing him at the forefront of contemporary Polish TV drama.

He is also widely recognized from series such as The Pack (Wataha), The Pact (Pakt), Signs (Znaki), Eastern Gate (Przesmyk), Hound Hill (Wzgórze psów), many of which are available internationally on major streaming platforms including Netflix and HBO, significantly expanding his reach beyond Poland. Alongside his television work, he also appears in acclaimed films such as Colors of evil: red (Kolory zla. Czerwien), Afterimage (Powidoki) and 25 years of innocence (25 lat niewinności).

Andrzej Konopka is widely regarded as one of the key protagonists of Polish noir – a distinctive Central European form of dark crime storytelling defined by moral ambiguity, psychological depth and strong social context. Through his roles, he has become one of the defining faces of the genre and a major force in contemporary Polish screen culture.
