JAN KOTOUČ is a well-known writer of military science fiction and alternate history, who has written almost two dozen novels in the Sector Hirano, Central Empire and Czech Lands series. Some of his books have also been published in English. He has won awards such as Encouragement Award from the European Science Fiction Society. He has also been the head of the literary programme at major Czech cons for many years, including Comic-Con Prague.
