His portrayal of Alex Murphy - a police officer turned cyborg - remains one of the genre's most iconic performances and defined the look of late 1980s sci-fi action films. Fans also know him from The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension and from the world of Star Trek. He is also the voice of Bruce Wayne/Batman in the animated films Batman.
