He has published over thirty books - the Černokňažník cycle and the follow-up series Čierny Rogan, the two-part novel Bivoj, the Bohatýr trilogy and others... He has won numerous genre awards. Červenák has published in the magazines Fantázia, Pevnost and Ikarie. His work is characterized by a gradual departure from mythological fantasy to the historical novel. This is evidenced by the series about the anti-Turkish wars, Dobrodružství kapitána Báthoryho.
