Do you know the oldest convention in the world? Worldcon has been around since 1939! It's older than Comic-Con (1970)! It's a global gathering of fans, especially of literary fantasy, and it's itinerant! Hosting Worldcon is an honor, and only non-profit fan organizations can host it, based on a successful bid two years in advance.
