ZIBARTAS COSPLAY (cosplayer; Denmark)

Zibartas is a Denmark-based cosplayer and creator specializing in costumes and props featuring special effects, lighting, and animatronics. His work combines 3D modelling, engineering, metalwork, and electronics, pushing cosplay beyond traditional boundaries and blurring the line between science fiction and real-world technology.
He began cosplaying in 2017 with his first build, Soldier:76. Determined to achieve a realistic look, he chose to fabricate the visor from steel—despite having no prior experience with the material. This hands-on, experimental approach became a defining element of his work.
Since then, Zibartas has created multiple metal-based cosplays incorporating complex electronics, lights, and moving parts. He is 100% self-taught and driven by a constant desire to learn new skills and explore new techniques.
In addition to creating costumes, Zibartas is an active competitor and judge on the cosplay contests scene. Over the years, he has participated in and judged numerous cosplay competitions across Europe. One of his most notable competitive achievements was at the Blizzard Cosplay Contest at Gamescom 2018, where he placed in the Top 10 among what were considered some of the best cosplayers in the world that year. Another example of standout moment in his career was reaching the finals of the Ultimate Online Cosplay Championship.
Alongside cosplay, video creation is another major passion of his. Through his online educational videos and YouTube channel, he shares his knowledge of electronics, metalwork, and prop engineering, inspiring others to experiment and build. As a lifelong science-fiction fan, his goal is to bring a piece of the future into the present through his creations.
