LATEEF CROWDER (stuntman, actor; Brazil/USA)

Účast hosta: Friday 13. March - Saturday 14. March 2026

Lateef Crowder is a Brazilian American actor, martial artist, and stunt performer. He was born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, and moved with his family to San Jose, California, at the age of four. From an early age, he was deeply involved in physical disciplines, training extensively in Capoeira under the guidance of his father, as well as in gymnastics. This strong foundation allowed him to develop a distinctive movement style, leading him to compete internationally in Capoeira and later become a member of the renowned Zero Gravity Stunt Team.

He gained broader international attention through his appearance in Tom-Yum-Goong (released in North America as The Protector), where he demonstrated Capoeira in an intense fight scene opposite Tony Jaa. His unique fighting style, agility, and screen presence quickly set him apart and opened the door to further acting opportunities. These qualities also made him an ideal choice to portray Eddy Gordo in the feature film adaptation of Tekken, a role closely associated with Capoeira and physical expressiveness.

Alongside his acting work, Lateef Crowder has maintained a strong and respected career as a stunt performer, contributing to numerous high-profile film and television projects.

Since 2019, he has been closely connected to the Star Wars universe through his work on the Disney+ original series The Mandalorian, where he serves as the stunt double for Din Djarin / The Mandalorian. His contribution has been essential in shaping the character’s physicality and combat style on screen. In recognition of his exceptional work, he was awarded a Primetime Emmy Creative Arts Award for Outstanding Stunt Performance in 2022.
